Remember all those Christmas trees? Well, it’s now time for them to be planted!

We’d love for you to join us!

Community Planting Day with Greening Taupo
This Saturday 26 August, 10am
Waikato River, below Kahurangi Gully, Rangatira Park

For Christmas 2021 and 2022, Korio gave the gift of GREEN. We sponsored a tree with Greening Taupo for every live Korio website – aiming to create a Korio forest in the long run!

The project site is now ready, and we're planting the first lot! All future 'Korio Christmas Trees' will find their home here, growing our native forest. Our project partner Haimes Building will also be there with their team - they are also heading out on Friday to prep the site for us!

Location: Along the Waikato River, below Kahurangi Gully, Rangatira Park. Access through Gates Park, follow Greening Taupo signs. From Rangatira Park, walk down the cleared track from Kahurangi Drive or Robinson Terrace.

This is a big project, we need your help!

If you'd like to make a contribution to this collaborative project, your donation will be gratefully received and put to good use! You can be assured that 100% of your donated funds will go directly to the restoration of this site.

Hi, I’m Kim and I work with a great team to help individuals, as well as small and not so small businesses get their message, product and services to the world using digital media and creating wonderful websites that don’t cost the earth.

I was born in Canada, and grew up around Vancouver and the mountains of British Columbia. My love of pristine environments led me to New Zealand and eventually to the mountains, lakes and rivers of the central North Island which is home. My family’s heritage is here, and it’s from here that Korio traverses the planet.
